Burgess & Schaeffer is a Cape Town based operation, formed in 2016. We provide a range of services to private and commercial motor and sailing yacht owners. Our scope of expertise encompasses some of the following, yacht deliveries; crewed yacht charter vacations in some of the worlds most beautiful locations; turnkey setup and management of new charter operations, and seasonal and permanent crew contracts. We are a hands on team and very committed to providing our clients and employers with an efficient and professional service.

GLOBAL DELIVERIES
Burgess & Schaeffer can sail your yacht to anywhere in the world. This is far more cost effective than having to ship the yacht to the same destination. Only qualified and experienced skippers with an extremely high standard of professionalism are used. Please email us for more information about how we work and our fee structure.
CHARTER OPERATIONS
If you are a current or prospective yacht owner we can assist you with setting up and operating your yacht as a standalone charter business. This will allow you to offset the cost of ownership through charter income. As the owner you will still have full access to your boat at any given time while enjoying the services offered by the experienced crew
YACHT VACATIONS
If you are looking for a vacation of a lifetime we can help. Our dynamic charter yacht brokerage has access to nearly 2,000 vessels across more than 30 glorious locations around the world. We can offer you a choice of sailboats, catamarans, power vessels and a stunning selection of superyachts. We can help you with all the finer details: Which coastline? What type of vessel? Should you wish to sell your boat we can assist with marketing and negotiating the deal. We are able to expose your boat to a large data base of local and international buyers through our industry networks
CREW SERVICES
Our crew hire service is for yacht owners who require a qualified captain and crew on a full or part time basis. We can maintain and run your current charter business and assist with short voyages and island hopping holidays

Our founding team is made up of Richard Burgess and Al Schaeffer. Both have international backgrounds in sales and marketing and hold RYA Yacht Master Offshore certifications.
